PF SEO and Research Tools

There have been a number of little applications that the PF team has distributed over the last year or so.

One of my favorites is Marc Quarles’ “Market Research Tool.” This is a simple to use application that gives you all the vital info on a keyword phrase. You enter a word or phrase, and you get standard KW research stuff like the related terms with number of searches, amount of competition, and a ratio of the two. You also get bid values and something called “Niche Value” which is a weighting of the various factors to give you a comparable value for each word you are researching.

You can change some of the variables like how good you are at SEO, filter your results, and more. The list is limited to 100 phrases which you can export with all the results or just as a kw list. You can also double-click on any phrase in the list to open a new window that drills down on that phrase.

Another great tool is the Web Page Analyzer. This little baby digs into the on-page optimization factors on your site, for a phrase you specify, and tells you what you need to do to improve it. The newest version now assigns a score from 1 to 100 that tells you how well optimized your page is.

It also compares your site with either the top 5 or top 10 results and gives you additional suggestions for optimization.

I credit this tool alone for getting me first page rankings in Google for some very competitive ONE WORD keywords!
